Making soup – question about chicken stock or vegetable stock?

theres an indian-flavoured soup Recipe i want to make that asks for vegetable stock. I only have chicken stock – would it affect the soup much if i used that instead of the veg stock.

its not gonna ruin it, but it won’t be entirely true to the recipe. I guarantee that another version of that recipe somewhere uses chicken stock.
